Citizens’ Council on Carbon Neutrality was established to collect a wide range of view from citizens on activities associated with the 2050 Carbon Neutrality and Green Growth Commission and to encourage their participation in policy making. This group provides a forum for citizens to directly participate in formulating policies and reach consensus on key issues through education, deliberation, and discussion.
*Regulations on the Establishment and Operation of 2050 Carbon Neutrality Commission (Presidential Decree) Article 9 (Civic Policy Participation Group) The Commission has a civic policy participation group to collect opinions from the people on its work and to encourage their participation in policies.
* Use of the name "Citizens’ Council on Carbon Neutrality"
- The Civic Policy Participation Group was renamed as the "Citizens’ Council on Carbon Neutrality" after a resolution from the 2nd Citizens’ Participation Sub-Commission of the 2050 Carbon Neutrality Commission.
