President Moon Jae-in on Feb. 28 pins badges of rank on newly appointed officers at the 57th graduation and commissioning ceremony of the Korea Army Academy in Yeongcheon, Gyeongsangbuk-do Province, with 477 cadets named second lieutenants. He attended the same ceremony of the Korea Military Academy in 2018, Republic of Korea Naval Academy in 2019, Republic of Korea Air Force Academy in 2020 and Korea Armed Forces Nursing Academy last year. The president is the nation's first head of state in history to attend the ceremony at five military academies.
