President Moon Jae-in attended a state dinner hosted by Indonesian President Joko Widodo this evening. The hour-long event was held at the Bogor Presidential Palace, starting from 7:20 p.m., with some 70 key dignitaries from Korea and Indonesia in attendance.

The event began with a performance of the Balinese Puspanjali dance, accompanied by the Balinese Rindik musical instruments. The traditional dance is meant to welcome valued guests in Bali.

The state dinner today was prepared in accordance with the highest protocol and formalities in honor of the state guest. Many of Indonesia’s finest cooks worked the menu for President Moon and First Lady Kim, from the appetizers to dessert.

Today’s dinner served as an opportunity to establish close bonds between the First Couples of Korea and Indonesia and revisit the significance of the special strategic partnership of the two countries.

At the end of the dinner, President Widodo presented photos of the two Presidents and the two First Ladies taken during the state visit.
