President Moon Jae-in spoke by phone to U.S. President Donald Trump for 30 minutes from 10:00 this evening. They discussed issues concerning the Korean Peninsula, including the improvement in South-North Korea ties on the occasion of the PyeongChang Olympic Winter Games.
President Trump congratulated President Moon on the great success of the 2018 PyeongChang Winter Olympics.
President Moon thanked President Trump for his support, including the sending of Vice President Mike Pence and Advisor to the President Ivanka Trump, which made it possible for the Olympics to be successfully hosted.
President Moon discussed with his counterpart the outcome of the visits by the North`s special envoy and high-level delegations during the PyeongChang Olympics.
