We welcome the decision by North Korea to close its nuclear test site and stop test launches of mid-to-long-range missiles. The North’s decision is regarded as a significant step forward toward the denuclearization of the Korean Peninsula aspired to by the whole world. In addition, it will contribute to creating a very positive environment for the success of the upcoming inter-Korean summit and the summit between North Korea and the United States.

We will do all we can in preparations so that the inter-Korean summit will become a guide for the denuclearization of the Korean Peninsula and the settlement of permanent peace.
