President Moon Jae-in made a visit to the ROK-U.S. Combined Forces Command in Seoul today. The President said Korea and the United States have contributed to world peace as partners since the Korean War, shedding blood together in Iraq and Afghanistan. He also noted that the ROK-U.S. Alliance is progressing beyond the boundaries of the Korean Peninsula into the world, evolving into a comprehensive strategic alliance embracing the economy and culture as well as the military.
In concluding his remarks, President Moon shouted the motto “We Go Together,” and the rest of the participants, including General Brooks, the Commander of the ROK-U.S. Command, responded by shouting “Gatchi Gapsida” in Korean, highlighting the importance of the ROK-U.S. Alliance.
