On the second day of his state visit to Russia today, President Moon Jae-in met with Russian President Vladimir Putin.
At the official welcoming ceremony held at the Georgievsky Hall of the Grand Kremlin Palace beginning at 1:50 this afternoon, President Moon was received by President Putin with a warm welcome.
With a fanfare marking the beginning of the official welcoming ceremony, Presidents Moon and Putin entered the Georgievsky Hall of the Grand Kremlin Palace from opposite sides.
The two Presidents walked on the red carpet toward the center and exchanged greetings. With President Putin's introduction, President Moon shook hands with 16 members of the Russian delegation, including Foreign Minister Sergey Lavrov.
President Moon then introduced President Putin to 19 Korean officials accompanying him. President Putin shook hands with each and every one of them and hugged National Assemblyman Song Young-gil with whom he had a special relationship.
The official welcoming ceremony was concluded when the two leaders left the hall.
