President Moon Jae-in arrived at Paris Orly Airport on October 13 (local time) to begin a nine-day visit to Europe, including a state visit to France.
Walking through an honor guard lining both sides of the red carpet, the President was received by Ambassador to Korea Fabien Penone, Minister of State Olivier Dussopt and other French officials.
As the first event on his itinerary in France, the President, together with First Lady Kim Jung-sook, will meet with members of the Korean community in Paris. On October 14, they will attend a Korea-France friendship concert featuring a performance by the Korean boy band BTS.
The next day, President Moon and French President Emmanuel Macron will hold a summit, their second since their inaugurations, followed by an official welcoming ceremony, a wreath-laying ceremony at the Tomb of the Unknown Soldier and a state dinner to be hosted by the French first couple.
On October 16, President Moon will wrap up his schedule in France after attending a reception at the City Hall of Paris and addressing the Korea-France business leaders’ summit.
