President Moon Jae-in attended the 13th East Asia Summit (EAS) held today in Singapore. The President and other participating leaders discussed regional developments, including issues involving the Korean Peninsula, and how Korea would contribute to tackling challenges facing the region.
Nearly every member nation represented touched on denuclearization of the Korean Peninsula at the EAS. Many heads of state and government highly evaluated the results of the inter-Korean summits and the United States-North Korea summit, all of which took place this year. They also agreed on the necessity of achieving denuclearization on the Korean Peninsula in a peaceful manner.
