President Moon said, “I am grateful to the Polish Government for arranging entry into Poland by essential personnel from Korean businesses – in special consideration of our strategic partnership as the two countries marked the 30th anniversary of the establishment of their diplomatic relations last year.”
President Moon added, “I’d like to ask for your continued consideration and support for the entry of Korean businesspeople crucial for the seamless implementation of plans to construct factories in Poland, preferably within April.”
President Duda said that he is well aware of the return of Koreans on a chartered LOT Polish Airlines plane to their homeland and of the arrival of Korean businesspeople in Poland. He went on to say that since he regards the entry of Korean businesspeople into his country to be very important, he would deal with the matter by consulting with his relevant ministers. The Polish President added that he looked forward to more active cooperation with Korean companies as soon as the COVID-19 outbreak is brought under control.
Moreover, President Duda said that Korea, through active diagnoses, has responded more effectively to the COVID-19 outbreak than any other country in the world. The Polish President expressed his hope that his country will be able to purchase Korea-made diagnostic kits and other quarantine supplies, adding that he would like to make a personal request to President Moon in that regard.
President Moon said, “We will give positive consideration if details about the requests for cooperation are forwarded through diplomatic channels.”
President Duda expressed the hope that the two countries will be able to overcome the COVID-19 outbreak together and said he is looking forward to President Moon’s visit to Poland after the situation is brought under control.
