Cheong Wa Dae has published a sourcebook about the progress made on government projects by the Moon Jae-in administration to celebrate the first anniversary of it coming into office.
The source book, titled “First Year of Moon Jae-in Administration, Report to the Nation” (문재인 정부 1년, 국민께 보고드립니다), is 108-pages, excluding the supplement titled “First Year of Moon Jae-in Administration Through Numbers and Graphics.”
The book has four parts: Changes, Promises, Tasks and Supplements. Changes deals with the historic event of the 2018 Inter-Korean Summit and other major progress made by the Moon administration. Promises consists of 35 policies directly related to people’s lives, out of a total number of 100 government projects, and categorizes them into five goals: a peaceful and prosperous Korean Peninsula; a nation that takes responsibility for my life; evenly developing geographic regions; a people-owned government; and, a people-owned economy in which everybody lives well together.
The Tasks chapter introduces 15 future assignments sorted by using big data on Cheong Wa Dae`s website, focusing on the petitions section and other Cheong Wa Dae social media channels. The future assignments include: fine particulate and air pollution, conflagrations, industrial accidents, sexual crimes, education policies, childcare, child endowments, communication fees, transportation fees, the wage gap, employment for high school graduates, protection of affiliate stores, reforming the chaebol, developing new drugs, and settling issues related to the THAAD system.
On the very day of the first anniversary, Cheong Wa Dae will also release a sourcebook and videos that highlight the major accomplishments of President Moon Jae-in and his main messages.
