The crown prince of Abu Dhabi, United Arab Emirates (UAE), Mohammed bin Zayed Al-Nahyan, will pay an official visit to Korea from Feb. 26-27 at the invitation of President Moon Jae-in.
With his last visit to Korea coming five years ago in February 2014, Al-Nahyan will reciprocate President Moon’s official visit to the UAE in March last year.
Cheong Wa Dae spokesperson Kim Eui-kyeom said in a written briefing on Feb. 19, “Crown Prince of Abu Dhabi Mohammed bin Zayed Al-Nahyan is next in line to assume the UAE presidency, and he has managed most state affairs on behalf of the ailing UAE President Sheikh Khalifa bin Zayed.”
“The two leaders will review the overall development of the special strategic partnership, an upgrade of bilateral ties that both countries agreed to last year during President Moon’s visit to the UAE.”
“They will also adopt a joint statement on the future direction of bilateral cooperation,” Kim added.
