President Moon Jae-in on Sept. 9 gave a speech to the nation explaining his major Cabinet major reshuffle of six new ministers and minister-level officials.
In his six-minute address, the president explained the principles for his appointments and his administration's consistent reform drive, stressing the responsibility of government organizations to fulfill its reform pledges.
"We've earnestly fulfilled our pledges and seen much progress in the self-reform efforts of government organizations," he said. We will not leave their dignity solely up to the government's goodwill but instead will elevate such dignity by completing a legal system."
"We will reform policies that serve as a wellspring for vested interests and irrationality that put our people in despair."
Cheong Wa Dae Spokesperson Ko Min-jung announced the appointment of six new Cabinet ministers and minister-level officials, including Seoul National University law professor Cho Kuk as justice minister.
