President Moon Jae-in on Sept. 23 announced that Korea will host the second Partnering for Green Growth and the Global Goals 2030 (P4G) summit next year at the Climate Action Summit.

He also held a meeting with United Nations (U.N.) Secretary-General Antonio Guterres and three bilateral summits with the U.S., Poland and Denmark.

At the Climate Action Summit, President Moon said he hopes Korea's hosting of P4G will strengthen international solidarity in fulfilling the U.N.'s sustainable development goals and the Paris Agreement. He urged the private sector as well as governments to cooperate in tackling climate change.

In talks with Guterres, the president discussed affairs both in Korea and the world, asking for the U.N. chief's continued support for peace on the Korean Peninsula and lauding the world body's hosting of the Climate Action Summit as successful.

President Moon then held a bilateral summit with U.S. President Donald Trump, and both leaders discussed the possibility of another round of dialogue between North Korea and the U.S. Seoul and Washington also pledged to continue close cooperation for the complete denuclearization of and a permanent peace on the peninsula.

In his summit with Polish President Andrzej Duda, President Moon discussed future-oriented cooperation, collaboration on the international stage and the situation in Korea. And in his talks with Danish Prime Minister Mette Frederiksen, President Moon congratulated the inauguration of the new Danish administration in June and discussed cooperation in climate change and the situation on the peninsula.
