President Moon Jae-in on Jan. 28 pledged to Chinese President Xi Jinping that the Korean government will spare no effort to support and cooperate with China to swiftly respond to the latter's coronavirus outbreak.
Cheong Wa Dae Deputy Spokesperson Han Jung-woo told a media briefing, "In a reply letter to President Xi, who celebrated his birthday, President Moon sent his response containing this content."
President Moon said in the letter, "We highly value China's efforts to respond to the novel coronavirus outbreak."
"The Korean government will spare no effort and cooperation necessary (for the fight)."
