President Moon Jae-in attended a dinner with U.S. President Donald Trump and Japanese Prime Minister Shinzo Abe in Hamburg on July 6 ahead of the upcoming G20 Summit.
The three leaders discussed cooperation on North Korean nuclear weapons issues and cooperation among the three countries.
Regarding North Korean nuclear weapons issues, the leaders agreed that stronger resolutions need to be adopted by the U.N. Security Council in order to apply heightened sanctions to North Korea. They also agreed to closely consult related countries, including China and Russia, backed by strong cooperation.
President Moon explained to his U.S. and Japanese counterparts his systematic, inclusive vision of North Korea that involves all possible means, including sanctions and dialogue, and which is backed by the results of the Seoul-Washington summit between President Moon and President Trump on June 30.
