PCNEC Chairman Chong Soo Park delivered a congratulatory speech at the opening ceremony of the Arctic Partnership Week 2021, a week-long international conference being held at the Busan Exhibition and Convention Center (Bexco). Mr. Park highlighted both the challenges and opportunities presented by climate change and its impacts in the Artic region, such as melting sea ice, strategic competition in the Arctic Ocean and the efforts to develop the Northern Sea Route.

Stressing the importance of reliable cooperation among the Arctic states and their neighboring countries in maximizing the advantages of the Northern Sea Route―which will innovate the shipping and logistics industry―he urged participants to gather knowledge and wisdom to push Arctic cooperation to the next level.
