President Sebastián Piñera of the Republic of Chile will make a two-day state visit to Korea April 28-29.
It will be his second visit to Korea since his first in March 2012. In particular, it carries significance as the first visit to Korea by a Latin American head of state since the inauguration of President Moon Jae-in.
At their summit, Presidents Moon and Piñera are expected to have extensive discussions on substantive economic cooperation and collaboration in various sectors as well as recent developments on the Korean Peninsula and in Central and South America.
