President Moon Jae-in uploaded a photo of himself to Twitter on Nov. 26 holding tickets to the PyeongChang 2018 Olympic and Paralympic Winter Games. The photo can also be found at the Hello PyeongChang Website.

A lunch with President Moon Jae-in. 

This is not for a foreign head of state visiting Korea. 

This is an opportunity for 20 selected individuals who participated in an ongoing event for the PyeongChang 2018 Olympic and Paralympic Winter Games. 

The event, dubbed as the PyeongChang Idea Olympics, has been running at the Hello PyeongChang website (https://www.hellopyeongchang.com), and it is currently being managed by the PyoengChang Organizing Committee. 

The event is composed of four parts: a photo contest for people who`ve purchased tickets; an idea and suggestions section where people can give tips on how to enjoy the Games despite the cold; a photo contest for attractions in Korea; and a suggestions section for nicknames for the Olympic Games, such as the “Peace Olympics” or the “Heritage Olympics.” 

President Moon Jae-in has also participated in the event. President Moon wrote on Nov. 23 that, “Receiving the tickets with my name written on them makes me feel that the long-awaited Olympic Games are coming so much closer.” He uploaded the photo of himself holding the tickets he bought in the second round of ticket sales this past September. 

The president introduced the ongoing event by saying that, “The Hello PyeongChang website has been running various events for those who purchased tickets for the upcoming Games, or who have ideas on how to better enjoy the Games.” He also asked people to take an interest in and to support the upcoming Winter Olympics.
