The Korean Culture & Information Service (KOCIS), part of the Ministry of Culture, Sports and Tourism, has just released a video collage of the most memorable moments of the new Moon Jae-in administration as selected by Korea.net's team of Honorary Reporters. 

Currently, there are 271 Honorary Reporters from 56 countries who work with Korea.net. A total of 19 reporters from 14 countries, most living in Korea, have contributed to the video. 

Their choices for the most memorable moments from the past one year of the Moon administration were the Candlelight Revolution in Gwanghwamun Square, the PyeongChang 2018 Olympic and Paralympic Winter Games and the 2018 Inter-Korean Summit. 

Regarding the Gwanghwamun protests, Elias Arturo Molina Ocampo from Costa Rica said, “This is real democracy!” 

Wendy Palomo from the Philippines asked, “Isn’t it amazing how people were able to change the government, but also in a peaceful way, too?” 

Ana Maria Varela Vazquez from Spain, Elena Kubitzki from Germany, Majid Mushtaq from Pakistan and Salwa Elzeny from Egypt all mentioned the Opening Ceremony and the joint marching of athletes from the two Koreas during the PyeongChang Winter Games, and said “It was literally the world’s festival!” 

Maiya Li from Kazakhstan and Chen Qianhui from China said they were really surprised to see the leaders of the two Korea crossing the border together. Chen said, “The first thing I felt was that North and South were one.” 

The video with English subtitles is already online at Korea.net’s Youtube channel and at the Korea Clicker's Facebook profile. Starting May 28, subtitles in Korean, simplified Chinese, Spanish, Russian, French and Japanese will be online.
