The Act of the Advisory Council on Peaceful Unification Policy (Act No. 3383) was promulgated.

The Secretariat of the Advisory Council on Peaceful Unification Policy was established.

The 1st Advisory Council on Peaceful Unification Policy was launched.

October 29
The Institution was renamed as the National Unification Advisory Council (NUAC)(Article 92 of the Constitution).

1988
February 17
The National Unification Advisory Council Act (Act No.4000, partially amended) was promulgated.

2019
September 1
The 19th NUAC was launched.

The 20th PUAC was launched.
