Korea-Myanmar Summit (November 2019)

President Moon Jae-in on Nov. 26 held a bilateral summit in Busan with Myanmar State Counsellor Aung San Suu Kyi, who visited Korea to attend the ASEAN-Republic of Korea Commemorative Summit.

Both leaders discussed promoting bilateral cooperation in human and cultural exchanges.

Korea-Philippines Summit (November 2019)

President Moon Jae-in on Nov. 25 held a bilateral summit in Busan with Philippine President Rodrigo Duterte, who visited Korea to attend the ASEAN-Republic of Korea Commemorative Summit.


They discussed cooperation in investment, infrastructure, energy and development of human exchanges and agreed to continue negotiations on a bilateral free trade agreement to have it finalized by next year.

Korea-Indonesia Summit (November 2019)

President Moon Jae-in on Nov. 25 held a summit in Busan with Indonesian President Joko Widodo, who visited Korea to attend the ASEAN-Republic of Korea Commemorative Summit.


Both leaders hailed the conclusion of negotiations on the Comprehensive Economic Partnership Agreement between the two nations and expressed hope that bilateral trade will expand further.

Korea-Thailand Summit (November 2019)

President Moon Jae-in and Thai Prime Minister Prayut Chan-o-cha on Nov. 25 held a bilateral summit at the Westin Chosun Busan on boosting cooperation in investment, infrastructure, water management, science and technology, and people-to-people exchanges.

Korea-Brunei Summit (November 2019)

President Moon Jae-in and Bruneian Sultan Hassanal Bolkiah on Nov. 24 held a bilateral summit in Seoul as part of the ASEAN (Association of Southeast Asian Nations)-ROK (Republic of Korea) Commemorative Summit in Busan. They spoke on bolstering practical cooperation in energy and high-tech industries and peace on the Korean Peninsula. The two countries also signed memorandums of understanding on information and communications technology, e-government and smart cities.

Korea-Singapore Summit (November 2019)

President Moon Jae-in on Nov. 23 held a bilateral summit in Seoul with Singaporean Prime Minister Lee Hsien Loong, who made an official visit to Korea to attend the ASEAN (Association of Southeast Asian Nations)-ROK (Republic of Korea) Commemorative Summit in Busan. Both leaders discussed promoting mutual prosperity and friendship between their countries as well as establishing peace on the Korean Peninsula and in the region.

Korea-Spain Summit (October 2019)

President Moon Jae-in on Oct. 23 hosted a summit with Spanish King Felipe VI at Cheong Wa Dae, with both leaders agreeing that the two countries have developed a friendly and cooperative relationship.

Both leaders discussed promoting bilateral cooperation in various fields such as economy, science and technology, and culture.

Korea-Bulgaria Summit (September 2019)

President Moon Jae-in on Sept. 27 hosted a summit with Bulgarian Prime Minister Boyko Borissov at Cheong Wa Dae on strengthening bilateral relations and expanding cooperation.
President Moon lauded the Bulgarian policy of granting "strategic investor status" to Korean companies, saying he expects them to promote more investment in the Balkan country.

Korea-Australia Summit (September 2019)

President Moon Jae-in on Sept. 24 held a summit with Australian Prime Minister Scott Morrison at United Nations headquarters in New York.

The two leaders praised the close bilateral cooperation of their two countries in sectors such as trade, investment, infrastructure, national defense and the defense industry. They also agreed to expand collaboration in renewable energy sectors such as hydrogen.

Korea-Denmark Summit (September 2019)

President Moon Jae-in and Danish Prime Minister Mette Frederiksen held a summit on the sidelines of the U.N. General Assembly at New York's Hudson Yards. With 2019 marking the 60th anniversary of diplomatic ties between their two nations, both leaders agreed to boost cooperation for Seoul to successfully host the second Partnering for Green Growth and the Global Goals 2030 (P4G) summit next year.
